BJP hits out at West Bengal govt over attack on NIA team in Mednipur district

The BJP on Saturday (6th April 2024) hit out at the Mamata Banerjee led West Bengal government over the attack on National Investigation Agency team in Mednipur district of the State. Addressing media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that the law and order situation in the State is touching a new low day by day. He alleged that the attack on the NIA officials was orchestrated by the State to create hurdles to the investigation into the bomb blast case in 2022 and to protect those involved in the incident. Mr Poonawalla alleged that the pattern of attack on the NIA officials was similar to the attack on the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Sandeshkhali in the State.

BJP Spokesperson Sardar R P Singh also hit out at the Punjab government over the law and order situation and accused the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of neglecting the State affairs.
