BJP hit out at the opposition over disruptions of Parliament throughout the recently concluded Monsoon Session. Briefing media in New Delhi on Saturday, senior Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, the conduct of opposition has been utterly irresponsible in the Parliament.
He said, opposition must keep their issues, but along with that, they must also listen to the Government in the Parliament. Mr Prasad said, the opposition parties said that they wanted to have a discussion on Manipur but never agreed to it. He said, when the Prime Minister came to speak on Manipur they did not want to listen, created disturbances during the Prime Minister's speech and staged a walkout.
Mr Prasad said, there can be no hypocrisy and double standard in parliamentary conduct. He said, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's speech was provocative as tensions are still prevailing there in Manipur.
