BJP today continued its attack on Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole and NCP(SP) leader Supriya Sule for their alleged involvement in using bitcoins illegally to fund elections. Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Sambit Patra demanded a probe into the matter. He also hit out at senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asking him to hold a press conference over the issue as he does to make allegations against the top BJP leaders. Mr. Patra dismissed the opposition leaders’ allegation of conspiracy against them in view of Maharashtra assembly polls. The BJP leader said media reports suggest that this scam in which prominent leaders of the Mahavikas Aghadi are involved is worth around 235 crore rupees.
On the other hand, Mr. Patole and Supriya Sule have rejected the Bitcoin scam allegation made by the BJP.
