BJP on Monday (15th April 2024) came down heavily on AAP government following the tragic death of a woman last week over water dispute in Delhi’s Farsh Bazar area. The woman was stabbed to death by her neighbour over access to water from a shared tap. Delhi BJP President, Virendra Sachdeva criticised the AAP government, calling it incompetent in dealing with the water crisis in Delhi. He also accused the Delhi government of making officers scapegoats.  Mr. Sachdeva said while the population of Delhi has risen steadily in last ten years, the water treatment capacity hasn’t gone up by even one unit. He said, it was ironical that same Kejriwal government which won the election on the plank of eliminating Tanker Mafia was today relying on the same Mafia to manage water supply in the city.
