BJP can provide permanent solution to infiltration, encroachment, and illegal trade in bordering areas: Union Minister Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that only BJP can provide a permanent solution to problems like infiltration, encroachment and illegal trade in the bordering areas of the country.
 
Mr. Shah was addressing a function at Integrated Check Post (ICP), Jogbani in Araria district in Bihar.
 
The Union Home Minister said that the days of problems in Seemanchal Area are numbered as BJP is coming to power in Bihar.
 
Mr. Shah alleged that earlier governments did not pay heed to the infrastructure problem of farthest villages in the border areas, but PM Modi led government has recognized it and converted the last village to first village.
 
The Union Minister said the NDA government has identified the potential of land ports and the Land Port Authority of India (LPAI) by boosting the infrastructure.
 
He said the land ports are developed as a one stop solution for trade and commerce and people to people contact with neighboring countries. They are becoming ambassadors of cultural and trade relations.
 
Mr. Shah said the ICP at Jogbani at Indo-Nepal border exchanges about a volume of 10,500 crore with Nepal. It accounts for 14 percent of trade volume of total border trade and commerce with Nepal.
 
The Home Minister said that at the Indo Nepal border the Land Port Authority has identified 19 Land Customs Stations and out of these 11 will be in Bihar.
 
Mr Shah also said that the check posts located at the Indo Nepal border have increased coordination, collaboration and cooperation with neighbors.
 
Earlier Mr. Shah inaugurated residential accommodation near integrated check post (ICP), Jogbani in Araria district. It has been built with the cost of 27 crore rupees for Border guarding forces near Indo Nepal Border by the Land Port Authority of India.
 
He also inaugurated the newly constructed residential and official complex for the 56th battalion of SSB in Bathnaha in Araria district. It was built with the cost of 35 crore rupees.
