BJP has demanded the resignation of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan following senior Left leader G Sudhakaran’s comments against the state government on the issue of drug abuse and others.
Briefing media in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Tom Vadakkan said Mr. Sudhakaran, who has been an MLA for two decades, has questioned Kerala’s ranking in drug abuse usage, leaks of examination papers and other issues. He added that such charges are not being made by the BJP but by a prominent left leader. He alleged that corruption has reached the Chief Minister’s office and a government like this cannot continue to function. Earlier, former minister Sudhakaran had criticised the Kerala government, saying it should end constant self-praise.
