The Bureau of Indian Standards-BIS has signed a Memorandum of Undestanding-MoU with Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology-GBPUAT to develop the first-of-its-kind Standardized Agriculture Demonstration Farm in India. This farm will serve as an experimental site for testing and implementing various agricultural practices and new technologies in accordance with Indian Standards.
Director General of BIS Pramod Kumar Tiwari said, this partnership with GBPUAT is a major step forward. He added, it will enhance agricultural practices by integrating Indian Standards, benefiting farmers and advancing agricultural innovation. He said, the department is looking forward to this partnership as a positive impact, which will be beneficial for the agricultural sector and its broader community.
