In Bihar, the capital city Patna today hosted the Patna Marathon Run with a message for addiction free and healthy lifestyle for youths. Besides full marathons and half marathon, several other categories were organised for children and elderly people in a short-distance format. The Prohibition Department and SBI jointly organised the event along JP Ganga Road which was flagged off by famous badminton player and Olympian Saina Nehwal from historic Gandhi Maidan. The international player praised the organisers for such huge participation in the event.
