Bihar is celebrating its 112th foundation day today. The state of Bihar was carved out from Bengal presidency on this day in 1912. President, Vice President and Prime Minister have greeted people of Bihar on their statehood day. In a social media post, President Droupadi Murmu said, Bihar has been the historical center of Indian culture and education. She said, the people of Bihar famous for their determination, devotion to duty and sacrifice and have made their place in the country and abroad. The President wished that this state always moves forward on the path of progress.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said, we should celebrate the rich cultural heritage and vital contributions of Bihar – the land of enlightenment that has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s history to make it Bharat’s destiny. Mr Dhankhar hoped that the state scale greater heights of development in the times to come.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Bihar, which has a unique identity across the world for its cultural heritage and splendor, is rapidly moving towards a new era of development. Mr Modi expressed confidence that the hardworking and talented people of the state are going to have an invaluable contribution in building a developed and self-reliant India.
