In Bihar, a two-day International Conference on the legacy of Guru Padmasambhava began at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara in Rajgir today. Delivering an inaugural address at the function governor of Bihar Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that solutions for all kinds of maladies are available in the teachings of Lord Buddha.
Mr Arlekar said Guru Padmasambhava gave new wings to Buddhism spreading it to the terrains of the Himalayan region including Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan.
The governor said the two pillars of non-violence and peace in Buddhism are the panacea for all kinds of problems. More than 50 scholars and monks from Nepal, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and other countries are taking part in the conclave.
