In Bihar, senior IAS officer Amrit Lal Meena was today appointed the new Chief Secretary of the state. Mr. Meena, a 1989 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer was recently repatriated to his original cadre.

Earlier Mr. Meena was secretary in the Ministry of Coal during his central deputation. He has succeeded outgoing Chief Secretary Brijesh Mehrotra, who got superannuation today.
