In Bihar, heads of higher education institutions have praised the several education-related provisions of Union Budget 2024-25. Talking to Akashvani News, Interim Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, Rajgir, Professor Abhay Kumar Singh, said the budget will provide a big boost to the efforts to restore the legacy of Nalanda University. Professor Singh expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the allocation of budgets for Nalanda University and the development of Rajgir, as well as for tourism corridors in Gaya. The Vice-Chancellor said it reflects the vision of Prime Minister Modi, which was expressed during his visionary speech on the day of the inauguration of the new campus of Nalanda University. The Vice Chancellor of Patna University, Professor Ajay Kumar Singh, said the student- and youth-centric announcements will work as a catalyst for the employment sector.
