In Bihar, the opposition Grand Alliance has announced its candidates for the upcoming by-elections in four assembly seats. According to the seat-sharing arrangement, the RJD will contest the Imamganj, Belaganj, and Ramgarh seats, while CPI-ML will fight on the Tarari seat.
RJD has nominated Ajit Kumar Singh, son of RJD State President Jagadanand Singh, for the Ramgarh seat. Vishwanath Kumar Singh will be the candidate for Belaganj, and Roushan Kumar Majhi, also known as Rajesh Majhi, will contest from Imamganj. CPI-ML has fielded Raju Yadav as its candidate for the Tarari seat in Bhojpur district.
On the other side, the NDA has also announced its candidates for all four seats. JD(U) has fielded former MLC Manorama Devi from the Belaganj seat in Gaya district. Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) has given a ticket to Deepa Majhi, daughter-in-law of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, for the Imamganj seat. Yesterday, the BJP had declared its nominees for the Tarari and Ramgarh assembly segments.
