Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has supported the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025, saying it will initiate reform in the age-old institution. Mr Khan stated that the assets and income from the Waqf must be used for charitable works in the interest of the people. He emphasised that the purpose of the Waqf must be properly served, and the poor and backward communities must benefit from it.
