Bihar, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Tuesday asked the Vice Chancellor of Patna University and the police administration to take stern action against the culprits involved in the murder of a student of the university.

The Governor has ordered the closure of all hostels of the University from Wednesday until further notice. Taking suo motu cognizance of the matter, the Governor summoned the Vice Chancellor of Patna University, District Magistrate, and SSP of Patna district to Rajbhavan to gather information about the whole incident.

Meanwhile, the Patna University has postponed all the ongoing examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate classes.
