In Bihar, chaotic scenes prevailed on the fourth consecutive day of monsoon session of the State Assembly over the protest of opposition BJP on the issue of 10 lakh government jobs and resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav.
When the House assembled for the day at 11 am, the opposition BJP members alleged that Bihar government is not fulfilling it's commitment to provide 10 lakh government jobs. They also said despite corruption charges the Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav is still continuing in the cabinet. The leader of opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha said the state government is befooling unemployed youths. The opposition members trooped into the Well of the House over their demands and started slogans against Nitish government. The BJP members were also holding posters and climbed on reporters' chair. Speaker Awadh Bihari Choudhary requested agitating members to return to their seats and allow the House function smoothly but in vain. As the disruptions continued, parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary demanded strict action against unruly members from the Chair. Following this, the Speaker marshalled out two BJP members Kumar Shailendra and Jivesh Kumar.
The Speaker tried to run the House and Question Hours were taken amid din. Amid ruckus, the BJP members boycotted the proceedings and walked out. After this, the Speaker said he will take stern action against unruly opposition members who were involved in sabotage yesterday on the basis of video footage of the House proceedings.
