Bihar: Campaigning underway in full swing in poll-bound constituencies of sixth, seventh phases of LS Polls

In Bihar, campaigning is underway in full swing in poll-bound constituencies of the sixth and seventh phases of Lok Sabha elections.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Bettiah in Paschim Champaran parliamentary constituency in support of NDA candidates.

Mr. Shah alleged that INDI Alliance is trying to mislead people on the issue of reservation and the constitution. He said they are spreading false narratives about it and the NDA government has never done anything on changing the constitution and reservation despite having a majority for the past 10 years.

He said Congress leaders are doing cowardice politics creating hype about the atom bomb power of Pakistan. Mr. Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not scared about it and he thinks that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) is an integral part of India and one day it will be annexed again.

JD(U) president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed election rallies in Vaishali, Gopalganj and Siwan parliamentary constituencies. He enumerated developmental works done under the JD(U)-BJP-led NDA government in the past 17 years.

Senior leaders of BJP, Lok Janshakti Party and Hindustani Awam Morcha also held public meetings in support of NDA candidates in Maharajganj, Siwan, Buxar, Arrah, Jehanabad and other poll-bound Lok Sabha segments.

On the other hand, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said his party has never supported the reservation on a religious basis. Talking to media persons in Patna, Mr. Ramesh said reservation on the basis of religion is unconstitutional. He said some Muslims are getting reservations from previous times on the basis of their backwardness.

RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav held public meetings in Siwan and Maharajganj parliamentary segments. Mr. Yadav alleged that BJP and its allies are pursuing divisive politics. He said BJP leaders do not believe in politics of development so they are talking about Hindu and Muslim politics in the elections.
