India’s Bhavani Devi and Taniksha Khatri have advanced to the semi-finals of their respective categories at the Asia Oceania Zonal Olympic Fencing Qualifier 2024 in UAE. Bhavani Devi defeated Juliet Jie Min Heng of Singapore in the Women’s Sabre category, 15-8.
While in the Women’s Epee category, Taniksha beat Li-Hsiang Hung of Chinese Taipei, 15-10, to enter the Semis. Both players are one win away from securing a quota at the upcoming Paris Olympics.
