Home Minister Amit Shah today said Bhagwan Birsa Munda is one of the greatest heroes of the freedom movement of India. Unveiling the statue of Birsa Munda at Baansera Park in New Delhi on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, Mr Shah said tribal communities will forever be grateful to Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The Home Minister added that at a young age, Bhagwan Birsa Munda had devoted his life to the nation and the upliftment of tribal people. He said Jal, Jameen and Jungle are essential for tribal societies and Birsa Munda brought awareness among tribal communities about this.

The Home Minister said the Narendra Modi government has worked tirelessly for the development of tribal areas and the upliftment of tribal people. He paid tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda and hoped that youth would continue to be inspired by him.
