Barcelona clinch 32nd Copa del Rey title with 3-2 win over Real Madrid in extra time

In Football, Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-2 to win the Copa del Rey final at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, Spain, yesterday. The victory gave Barcelona a record-extending 32nd Spanish Cup title.

Jules Kounde’s late strike in extra time secured Barcelona’s second trophy of the season, having earlier won the Spanish Super Cup, also by defeating Real Madrid.

In the thrilling match, Pedri’s stunner was the difference at halftime, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead. In the second half, French striker Kylian Mbappe came off the bench for Real Madrid to score from a free-kick and level the match. Moments later, Aurélien Tchouaméni headed the ball into the net to put Madrid ahead 2-1. However, in the 84th minute, Barcelona exploited Madrid’s high defensive line, with Ferran Torres equalising to make it 2-2. The match went into extra time, where Barcelona eventually clinched victory.
