In the run-up to the International Day of Yoga, Ramna Yoga Society, Dhaka organised a Pre-event at Ramna Park, Dhaka on Saturday. The event was organised in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC), High Commission of India, Dhaka. Yoga practitioners and enthusiasts gathered in large numbers at the Ramna Park situated at the centre of Dhaka which is renowned for its historical significance to take part in the event.

Earlier, Patanjali Yoga Sangha, Bangladesh conducted a pre-IYD Yoga event at Ramna Kalibari, Dhaka on Friday in collaboration with IGCC, Dhaka. Bangladesh Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Rokeya Sultana was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event featured yoga performances led by yoga practitioners and experts.

There are many other Yoga Day-related events scheduled to be held over the coming week across Bangladesh as people show great attraction to Yoga in Bangladesh.
