In Bangladesh, the runway of Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport will be closed for three and a half hours per night for a week in November due to maintenance work.

Airport official said in a message yesterday that the runway will be shut down from 1:00 am to 4:30 am daily from November 8 to 14. All flight landing and take off operations at the airport will be temporarily suspended during this repair period. During this time, all runway operations and flight activities will be temporarily halted.

The official said, notices have already been issued to all relevant airlines and organizations regarding this closure. Passengers have been advised to check their flight schedules in advance and to confirm with their respective airlines.
