Former Vice Chairman of Bajaj Auto, Madhur Bajaj, passed away in Mumbai this morning at the age of 73. He had been admitted to a private hospital a few days ago due to health issues and breathed his last at around 5 this morning. He had stepped down from his role earlier this year due to health concerns.
Born on August 19, 1952, he also served as Chairman of Maharashtra Scooters and as a Director of Bajaj Electricals, Bajaj Finance, and other companies within the Bajaj Group. Madhur Bajaj was the grandson of Jamnalal Bajaj, founder of the Bajaj Group, and cousin of the late Rahul Bajaj. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, expressed grief at the passing of Mr. Bajaj.
