Commonwealth Games gold medallist Sen defeated Denmark’s Anders Antonsen in the pre-quarter-finals 24-22, 11-21, 21-14 in a hard-fought match. World Number 18 Sen will face Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia in the quarter-finals tonight.
However, two-time Olympic medallist, PV Sindhu bowed out of the competition yesterday following a 19-21, 11-21 loss to world number one An Se Young of South Korea in the Round of 16.
