An awareness meeting on Sampurnata Abhiyaan program was organized in Chippagiri Mandal of Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh today. Speaking on the occasion, NITI Aayog official Shruti Sabharwal informed that Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks program was introduced by Central Government in the last January.

She added that the Government of India has selected 500 backward mandals to implement the Aspirational Blocks programme, out of which 15 mandals have been selected from the state of Andhra Pradesh. NITI Ayog official said that out of 15 mandals, Maddikera, Chippagiri and Holagunda mandals have been selected from Kurnool district and steps should be taken by officials to achieve 100 percent progress in the 6 aspects included in the Sampoornata Abhiyaan program by the end of September, 2024. Several Central and State Government Officials participated in the program.
