Assam Rifles Training Centre and School in Shokhuvi, Nagaland has been awarded the Union Home Minister's Trophy 2021-22 for the best training institution. Brig Suresh Kumar Sheoran received the award on the institution's 53rd Foundation Day in New Delhi, today. The occasion was graced by Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ajay Kumar Bhalla.
This recognition comes after a national assessment by the Ministry of Home Affairs, showcasing the institute's excellence in soldier training under the leadership of Lt Gen PC Nair. The Assam Rifles Training Centre & School Shokhuvi is lauded for its comprehensive programmes, dedicated faculty, innovation, and modern facilities. The award not only honors their achievements but also sets higher standards for police training institutes across the country.
Every year Ministry of Home Affairs conducts a National level screening and survey of various Central Police Training Institutes and adjudges the best training institute.
