Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, reviewed the status and progress of flagship schemes from both state and central governments in the Chirang District of Assam. Addressing a public meeting, Dr Murugan said that a new railway project connecting Kokrajhar to Bhutan will commence soon, along with several other development projects. The Union Minister, who is on a two-day tour of Chirang, expressed satisfaction with the progress during a meeting yesterday with the District Commissioner and offered suggestions for the timely and quality completion of ongoing schemes.
