Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma is on a daylong visit to Tamilnadu today. He inaugurated a hostel for students and patients from the State at Sathuvachari Vellore today. The building has been constructed at a cost of 22 Crore Rupees. Speaking at the event, Mr. Sarma said, a lot of patients from Assam are regularly seeking treatment from CMC Vellore and most of them find it difficult to find a place to stay when the patients need a longer period for treatment. He said that these types of centres are also being built in ten other States including Delhi, Gujarat and Chennai.
The Chief Minister said that these buildings are constructed from the State fund. He said that two such centres are scheduled to be completed in Bangalore.
