Asian stocks gained except China's Shanghai Composite which fell 0.2 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index led the rally, surging 1.4 percent, Singapore's Straits Times index rose one percent, Japan's Nikkei-225 added 0.7 percent and South Korea's Kospi gained 0.4 percent.
   
European Markets were also positive in intra-day trade. France's CAC-40 surged 1.3 percent, Germany's DAX rose 0.8 percent and London's FTSE-100 was trading 0.3 per cent up when reports last came in.
