Major Asian indices logged gains today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng surged over 3.8 percent, China’s Shanghai Composite rose over 0.8 percent, and Japan’s Nikkei increased over 0.2 percent, while Singapore’s Straits Times index as well as South Korea’s Kospi both ended nearly flat. Major European indices were trading in positive territory. France’s CAC was trading over 0.6 percent up, Germany’s DAX gained over 0.3 percent, and London’s FTSE was trading over 0.1 percent up when reports last came in.
