Asian markets were mixed today. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index soared 2.5 percent while Singapore's Straits Times index rose 0.3 percent. On the other hand, Japan's Nikkei-225 fell 0.1 percent while South Korea's Kospi and China's Shanghai Composite were closed on account of public holidays.
European markets were trading higher today, ending a five-day losing streak in the previous sessions. London's FTSE-100 jumped 0.9 percent while France's CAC-40 rose one percent and Germany's DAX also gained nearly one percent when reports last came.
