Asian markets today ended with losses. Hong Kong's Hang Seng plunged 3.1 per cent, Japan's Nikkei-225 declined 1.7 per cent and Singapore's Straits Times fell 1.1 per cent. South Korea's Kospi slipped 0.9 per cent and China's Shanghai Composite index ended half a percent down.
   
European Markets also logged losses intra-day. France's CAC-40 declined 1.7 per cent, London's FTSE-100 fell 1.3 per cent and Germany's DAX was trading 1.2 percent down.
