Major Asian indices displayed a mixed trend today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng surged over three and a half percent, China’s Shanghai Composite index gained over 0.4 percent, and South Korea’s Kospi added 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei lost 0.8 percent, and Singapore’s Straits Times index fell 0.13 percent. Major European indices were trading mixed. Germany’s DAX was trading 0.2 percent down, London’s FTSE lost almost 0.2 percent, while France’s CAC was trading over 0.3 percent up when reports last came in.
