In a significant step towards promoting women’s cricket, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced the launch of the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup. This landmark decision was made during the ACC Executive Board Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The ACC confirmed in an official release that the Women’s U19 Asia Cup will be held biennially, positioning it as a key preparatory tournament ahead of each ICC Women’s U19 World Cup.
By providing emerging female cricketers in Asia the opportunity to compete on an international platform, the tournament aims to offer invaluable experience, ultimately enhancing the performance of Asian teams on the global stage.
