The scrutiny of nomination papers for 60 Legislative Assemblies and two Lok Sabha seats in Arunachal Pradesh was done on Thursday. In total, 168 nominations were found valid for 58 Assembly Constituencies and the scrutiny of two Assembly seats was adjourned till 11 am today. 

For two parliamentary constituencies, 15 nominations were found valid. There are eight candidates for the Arunachal West Parliamentary Constituency including the nominations of BJP candidate and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and INC candidate Nabam Tuki.

In the Arunachal East Parliamentary Constituency, 7 candidates papers were found valid.

Arunachal Pradesh is going to simultaneous polls on April 19 next to elect a new 60-member Legislative Assembly and two Members of Parliament from the Arunachal West and East Lok Sabha seats.
