Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inaugurated the Students’ Activity Centre, laid the foundation stone of the Buddhist Study Centre and participated in an interaction session with faculty and students at Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mein highlighted the relevance of the Student’s Activity Centre which aims to facilitate knowledge creation, foster community, and enhance research capabilities. He further stated that the Buddhist Study Centre will aid towards establishing, studying and researching the timeless philosophy and principles of Buddhism.
Mr Mein also commended RGU and its faculty members for their contribution to the research and unearthing of the Unsung Heroes of the State. He requested the History Department of RGU to do more research on the history of the state and come up with a state history syllabus to be included in the School Curriculum.
