Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Manish Gupta today reviewed the land acquisition cases and other issues related to the Frontier Highway roads and other important roads in the state. The Frontier Highway comprises 1,859 kilometres of roads covering 11 districts, starting from Nafra in West Kameng District in the west to Vijaynagar in Changlang District in the extreme east, at the Indo-Myanmar border. The Chief Secretary also asked the requiring agencies to extend support in the districts to expedite the land acquisition process.
In another event, the Indian Army hosted a Graziers’ Mela under the ‘Vibrant Village Zemithang initiative in Tawang District yesterday. The event took place in the border village of Nelya, situated at an altitude of 10,000 feet, along the Indo-Tibet and Indo-Bhutan borders. It aimed to revive and support the centuries-old practice of cattle grazing by the local community in the area. The Graziers’ Mela sought to celebrate and uplift the community, offering moments of joy after a season of hard work.
