Around 14 lakh Anganwadis have been registered under the Poshan Tracker application so far. Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani said this in a written reply in Lok Sabha today. The Minister said that the technology under Poshan Tracker has been leveraged for dynamic identification of the factors of stunting, wasting, and under-weight that are prevalent among children. She highlighted that under POSHAN Abhiyaan, a digital revolution was ushered in for the first time when Anganwadi Centres were equipped with mobile devices. She further said that the mobile application has facilitated the digitisation and automation of physical registration that helps in improving the quality of work.

She added that the Poshan Tracker app is available in 22 languages including Hindi and English. The App also offers counselling videos to disseminate messages on birth preparedness, delivery, postnatal care, breastfeeding, and complementary feeding.
