Apple and Tesla lifted the tech-heavy Nasdaq to a higher close on Monday (1st July 2024), while the Dow Jones and the S&P 500 also registered slight gains.      

The Dow Jones industrial average was up by 0.13 percent. The Nasdaq increased 0.83 percent, while the S&P 500 gained 0.27 percent.
