The base camp of Annapurna I have received a record-breaking number of tourists after Dashain this year. Many domestic tourists visited the Annapurna Base Camp in Myagdi district during the festive period. More than 3000 national and international visitors have arrived at ABC so far since the beginning of Dashain’s vacation. More than 50,000 visitors go to Annapurna base camp every year.
Mountaineers ascend the Annapurna-I, an 8,091-meter-tall peak, from the North Base Camp. The popularity of the Annapurna region is increasing with Annapurna rural municipality creating a tourism promotion master plan. The trail starts from the tourism capital of Nepal, Pokhara, and goes through a green forest full of biodiversity, waterfalls, and a view of Panchakunda Lake, a key attraction.
