Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across Andhra Pradesh today with IMD predicting extremely heavy rains in the coastal districts from Bapatla to Kakinada intensifying over the East and the West Godavari districts. 

Very heavy rainfall is also expected in ASR and Parvathy Puram Manyam districts. Chief Minister N Chandrababu held a review meeting last night to monitor the flood situation in Eluru district and the villages inundated due to flooding of Pedha Vaagu project. IMD has predicted heavy rainfall for next two days due to low pressure over the Bay of Bengal.
