National Human Rights Commission today recommended the Uttar Pradesh government to pay 7.5 lakh rupees to the kin of the person who was mauled to death by stray dogs in the Aligarh Muslim University campus in April last year. The Commission said that it found negligence of the authorities in the matter. NHRC further asked the authorities to submit a compliance report as proof of payment within eight weeks.
