All preparations in place for 76th Republic Day: Indonesian band to participate in parade

Indian Army is fully geared to showcase its strength during the 76th Republic Day on the Kartavya path on 26th January of this month. Briefing the media in New Delhi today, Major General Sumit Mehta said, the Indian Army will be represented by a Mounted Column, eight Mechanised Columns, and six Marching Contingents. He said this time battlefield surveillance system and DRDO depiction of the Pralay weapon system will be the major attraction of the parade.
During the parade, the Bhishma T90 Tank, Nag Missile System, Bajrang light specialist vehicle, Nandighosh Quick Reaction Force Vehicle, Brahmos, Agnibaan, Pinaka, and Akash weapon system will showcase the country’s military might. Besides, the marching contingent of the armed forces, Central Armed Police Force and NCC marching contingent will also participate in the parade. The parade will begin at 10:30 AM on 26th January and will continue for 90 minutes. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Captain Ritika Khareta from the Corps of Signals, who will lead the Indian Army marching contingent during the Republic Day parade, thanked the Indian Army for providing her with this great opportunity.
This year Indonesian contingent and band will participate in this year’s Republic Day parade as the Country’s Chief Guest. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Brigadier of Indonesian Army, Kristomei Sianturi said, 352 Indonesian army soldiers will participate in the parade.
A total of 26 tableaux from various states, union territories and Union Ministries are set to present the diversity of the country and cultural inclusiveness during the 76th Republic Day Parade on the 26th of this month. Tableaux are based on the theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’.
