Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has said that the government is ready to discuss any issue during the winter session of the Parliament begining tomorrow. Talking to reporters after the all-party meeting convened by the government in New Delhi on Sunday, Mr Rijiju urged opposition parties to coperate for smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha during the session.
Mr Rijiju said, a total of 42 leaders of 30 political party participated in the meeting and every party leader gave their suggestions. He informed that all the suggestions will be discussed in the business advisory committee that which issues will be raised in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Mr Rijiju He said, the the government’s want a proper and peaceful discussion in both the houses.
Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said that the party has sought discussion on issues including alleged bribery scam by an industrialist, Manipur situation, unemployment and pollution in North India.
The all party meeting was presided over by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Union Minister Anupriya Patel, L Murugan, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav, MDMK MP Vaiko, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh and others attended the all-party meeting at the Parliament.
The winter session will commence tomorrow and will continue till 20th of December. However, there will be no sitting of Parliament on 26th of November on account of commemoration of Constitution Day.
