All necessary arrangements in place to ensure transparent voting in Ladakh

In Ladakh, the district election authorities and Kargil police have confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure fair and transparent voting in the Ladakh parliamentary constituency, which goes to the polls tomorrow.

Out of the 279 polling stations, 118 have been identified as critical based on the norms set by the Election Commission. Comprehensive measures, including both force and non-force interventions, have been put in place for these critical stations.

A total of 140 polling stations, including all critical ones, will have webcasting to monitor the polling process in real-time. A dedicated control and command centre has been established at the DEO office to oversee the process from Kargil Headquarters, ensuring quick detection and response to any irregularities.

Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel will be stationed at all critical polling stations to maintain order and ensure voter entry norms are followed.
