All arrangements made for transporting bodies of Keralites, who died in Kuwait fire tragedy back home:  Kerala State Heath Minister

In Kerala, State Heath Minister Veena George said all arrangements have been made for the transporting the bodies of Keralites,  who died in the Kuwait fire tragedy back home. She said the necessary formalities have been completed and the bodies are being packed for transporting them back to the state.

 

She was speaking to media persons at the Cochin International Airport a short while ago.

 

The Minister, who has been deputed by the state government to coordinate the arrangements in Kuwait, said 23 persons belonging to the state who died in the mishap have been identified. She said efforts are on to identify two more bodies.

 

The  Minister also indicated that the bodies are likely to be brought to Kochi from where they will be taken to different places.  She said, NORKA, the state government department looking after Non-Resident Keralite’s Affairs, has arranged a fleet of 25 ambulances for this purpose.

 

Lending a helping hand to the bereaved families, prominent NRI businessman and Chairman of the UAE-based Lulu Group, M.A. Yusuffali, announced a donation of 5 lakh rupees each for the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic Kuwait fire.
