In Maharashtra, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has stated that his party is indeed a part of the I.N.D.I.A. Block and has therefore demanded 12 seats, including Dhule and Malegaon. Mr. Yadav held a rally in the Dhule City assembly constituency for the SP’s candidate, Irshad Jahagirdar. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of trying to tamper with the Indian Constitution. He also criticised the BJP government at the centre for failing to secure the magic number in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
