Akashvani, in collaboration with the Women’s Collective Forum, organized “Violins for Women,” a musical event that acknowledges women and raises a voice against violence. The primary focus of the program was to honour the women of the country through music. Former Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani, while addressing the event, said that music can pay tribute not only to the success of women but also to their contributions. She appreciated Akashvani for its efforts. The Chairman of Prasar Bharati, Navneet Kumar Sehgal, said, the involvement of women in every sector of society is pivotal. Prominent violinists Pandit Santosh Nahar, Chaitali Sheolikar, and Paromita Mukherjee honoured the women of the nation through their performances. Instrumentalists Mahima Upadhyay and Ritu Mishra graced the event by playing the Pakhawaj and Tabla, respectively.
