The air quality in the national capital Delhi continues to remain in the poor category, with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 270 as of 1 PM this afternoon. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, some areas of the city have breached the 300 AQI levels into the very poor category. The AQI at Delhi’s Mundka Station was recorded at 340, Burari Crossing at 333, Nehru Nagar at 327, Bawana at 318, Rohini at 312, Anand Vihar at 307, Anand Vihar at 304, Sonia Vihar at 300 and Wazirpur at 291.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that Delhi and the surrounding NCR are likely to experience smog and shallow fog during the night and morning hours over the next two days.
