Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that by investing in cutting-edge technologies and nurturing a robust defence ecosystem, the government has ensured that the armed forces remain future-ready and resilient in an evolving global landscape.

The Minister made this statement while addressing the 62nd National Defence College M.Phil Convocation Ceremony in New Delhi today. He added that presently warfare has surpassed the traditional battlefields of land, sea, and air.

Mr. Singh said, the armed forces now operate in a multi-domain environment where cyber, space, and information warfare are just as critical as conventional operations. He said, Artificial Intelligence AI has the potential to revolutionize military operations, from predictive analytics to autonomous decision-making systems.

The Defence Minister said, in today’s interconnected world, a firm grasp of geopolitics, international relations, and the complexities of global security alliances is a must for military leaders.

Congratulating all course members, Mr. Rajnath shows confidence that this course will sharpen intellect and refined skills. He said that the necessity for academic and strategic learning for the defence personnel has been long recognized, but its significance has grown exponentially in the modern context.

The Defence minister added that the evolving nature of warfare, technological revolutions, and global interconnectivity, demand that leaders in the defence domain be more than tactical experts.
